My Harry is the younger version by Mattel, and when I switched the neck connector on the Obitsu body, the head fit without an issue (although his neck does look very slender). The only suggestion that I have for eliminating the wobble of putting the larger head on the smaller neck is to do something similar to what I did when I rebodied Tariq. Go to my Doll Head Removal page and look towards the bottom for Tariq, and see how I used a flat washer from a tub & shower repair kit, and a plastic grape to eliminate the wobble. Tariq still has a gap between his head and neck, though, which is why he wears a turtleneck. Good luck with Julian (Harry)!RoxanneRoxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01079345476722203250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5580986768097342172.post-89872126344692178932014-04-08T22:08:15.897-04:002014-04-08T22:08:15.897-04:00Thanks for sharing those tips, Jawn Pickles! Instead of putty or whatever I just wrapped a LOT of masking tape on the neck knob until it snuggly fit inside my doll's head. I also stuffed the head with plastic bags to stop the head from sinking onto his shoulders lol.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/kd_230692/8241104053
https://www.flickr.com/photos/kd_230692/13718754414dolljunkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13485689426787132045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5580986768097342172.post-71171457371439888012014-04-08T10:03:23.520-04:002014-04-08T10:03:23.520-04:00Hi Muff! This forum thread might be of use: http://milkshakemelody.com/figurvore/index.php?topic=2197.0 Not sure if it would work if the neck is too thin, though (that's why I shelved my project). If it's just the toggle that's too small there's always a way around it (I used a plastic pencil cap once). Basically yo...Have you tried sun-bleaching Harry?

Basically you put the doll in a sunny spot near a window, and, well, leave it there for a few weeks.

I'm not an expert on the process, but from what I've seen it seems to work pretty well. I know vintage MLP doll collectors often sun-bleach pony bodies to match heads. It can turn the vinyl quite a few noticeable shades lighter. It works better on red and pink tones (I guess the dye breaks down faster?)Forsythiahttp://radiant-halcyon.tumblr.com/noreply@blogger.com
