Note to self: separate doll and action figure clothes by season (spring-summer and fall-winter) as well as size. Most things will go in the spring-summer bin; heavy coats, jackets, sweaters, boots, etc. will go in the fall-winter bin. Then if I can break down by size -
infants/toddlers - 3" babies, Kellys, Todds
children - 8-10" children like Stacey, Harry Potter (young Hermione)
teens - 9-12" young people like Skipper, HSM crew, Mystery Squad, Generation Girl
adults - 9-13" juniors
misses - 10-13" fuller bodied females like G.I.R.L. Force, Get Set, Mixis, CyGirl
plump or husky - heavyset figures (probably keep w. individual doll or action figure)
Ideally, I would like to store the outfits I use for certain dolls or action figures with the doll or action figure. Course that makes it harder to share/borrow clothes across the lines.
You're beggin for a meltdown! LOL but good luck. I have two ugly billion gallon containers. I pour everything into one and slowly transfer until I find that little missing sock. I wish I was as ambitious as you. : )
ReplyDeleteDon't I know it! (Heading for that meltdown, LOL) I've got one medium size bin of men's stuff, one plastic shoebox of men's coats, one medium size bin of women's stuff and lots of other stuff in small plastic boxes or doll cases or on shelves or in books. Ack!
ReplyDeleteOne requisition for Santa's sorting elves, please ;-D
Maybe I should start something like this while my collection is still small. I don't want to have that meltdown. ^_^
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Niel. I would recommend that you do ;-D
ReplyDeleteFashions mixed up in the summer ... argh! In the winter, you can add a coat or sweater and pop! there's your winter scene. But summer time, you want your figures looking cool. Sigh. Well, I can try to keep them sorted.
