So in Style Alert! Hispanic Marisa Joins the Group

Please see what the latest So in Style friend looks like. Her name is Marisa, and she is Grace's Hispanic friend. I believe that she will be part of the next Rocawear wave. Has anyone seen her yet? I haven't but then I have been avoiding toy departments and toy stores. I've got to reduce BEFORE I allow myself to bring more dolls in.

But Marisa does look lovely. Beautiful screening. Even if she is the SAME face. Trying to dissuade myself from even window shopping. Sigh.

  1. WOW! I haven't heard anything about this doll. She is very pretty. Like you said, same face mold but it looks like they did a pretty good job making her look somewhat different. I wouldn't mind adding her to my collection.

    Thanks for posting this. :)

  3. Haven't seen her in TRU's yet. Have seen the new Dolls of the World, One of the Dancing With the Stars. The Shoe Obsession Barbie and Pink in Pantone. Have resisted buying any of these dolls.

  4. Wow--she is cute! Interesting that she's the same face sculpt. [trying so hard not to look!] ;)

  5. Hi Tracy India, Chynadoll, Frannie, and Alison in CA.

You are all welcome. Marisa does look different from the other Mbili-faced S.i.S. dolls. Amazing what those Mattel artists can do with one face sculpt.

I may have to sell some of my other Mbili-faced girls to "allow" myself to get this new one, but I think she will be worth it.

Can't wait to see her in the vinyl.

  6. I really like her. I've only see her on the blogs and on flickr. On the back of the box she looks just like Faith Evans, the singer. Split image. I think Mattel has typically done a very good job with most of their molds in making them look so different. You definitely have Integrity Toys beat in this department.
