Sorry ... This is Just W-R-O-N-G ... Bratzillaz' Pet

I like it's name. I grant that the concept is "cute."

BUT

I have a cat so this strikes me as soooo wrong.

Where does it "eliminate?" And where is it's tail? Wrong, I say. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

  1. It eliminates by coughing it up, I guess, like a hair ball maybe? However, if it's a magical construct it may not need to poop.

As for lack of tail, none of my sisters cats (manx) or dogs (rottweilers) had tails, so I don't really mind it not having one, but those seams are rather unsightly.

  2. I agree it's just wrong, and I don't even have a cat. It's really quite bizarre...mostly because it's 2 different animals! It reminds me of a similar creature named "Pushmi-pullyu" from the Dr. Dolittle children's books and 60's musical. But it was the same head on both sides, so to me, that was comical...whereas a cat and a dog SEWN together, well, just EW! :o)

  3. OMG, this is very creative to say the least. I love the name, too. I had both a cat and two dogs. Not completely sure how I feel about this. But they get a 10 for creativity.

  4. This reminds me of CatDog, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CatDog) which I thought was funny, well, at least sometimes. :)

  5. Hi Muff, barbradoll, Vanessa, and Niel!

@Muff, that is a clever answer to how it might "eliminate" - coughing up "poop." Or as you mention, it might not have to do that. I don't know why the "eliminate" factor followed by the wail for the cat's tail figure so prominently in my complaint. Shrug.

    @barbradoll - I vaguely remember the "Pushmi-pullyu" creature. I
never read the Dr. Doolittle books or saw the movie. (Just commercials of the movie ...) But yes, I'll repeat your "Ewww" lol.

@Vanessa - creative, yes. And I love the play on "Bartholomew." But the whole reminds me of those old fashioned two-headed dolls where one head was hidden by the doll's full skirt. Creepy!

@Niel - I never heard of CatDog. Thanks for the link. That seems like it might have been an entertaining show.

  7. Yep, I said the same thing when Catdog came out.

  8. When I first saw it, I wondered why anyone would think of making such a thing. I felt very uncomfortable looking at it. It seems gross to me.

Maybe, if they were the same species, it might be better? I don't know. It seems cruel to have the poor animal/s like that.

  9. I'm with you - I think it's weird but when I showed my daughter, she just said "oh yes, CatDog". Apparently she used to watch it as a cartoon sometimes when she was little. I had totally forgotten about it.

  10. Hi Marta, Miss_Lola_77, Allenoel, and Carrickters!

I'd never heard of "CatDog" before the mentions here. Thanks for expanding my cartoon knowledge base ;-)

I miss seeing the hind legs and the tail. I realize that the Manx cat lacks a tail, but most cats have one so I *expect* to see it on a toy cat. But then, that isn't a toycat, is it? Shrug.

  11. Clearly its "magical" aspect is that it doesn't need to poop. Or something. :p

  13. This creature and the old CatDog cartoon gets me... My mind instantly goes "there". Where in the world does it poop ? No, don't answer that. LOL.

  14. Hi Ken! I won't try, lol.

But some hold that its magical nature bypasses that need.
