Cousins Dwayne (left) and T.J. (right)
Here is Dwayne. He has painted, close-cropped hair. Medium brown complexion.
Here is T.J. He has a bald skull. Dark brown complexion. He and Dwayne both have straight arms and articulated knees as guessed by the angle of the bent knees.
I did not buy either of the guys. While I would like to try the fashions on my taller guys - Integrity Toys' Lukas Maverick and Mattel's Scottie Pippin - I'd like to wait until they are on sale. On the other hand, suppose they get bought up entirely? Suppose I cannot find them later? Male dolls appear and disappear so quickly. What to do? What to do?
P.S. Select Kenya dolls are for sale online. I am hoping that little sister Keyshia makes her appearance next.
So far I have only seen the dudes at Walmart and they have a huge messy supply of all things Kenya. In fact, they don't seem to be selling well at all at my store. I don't know if it's over supplied or lack of interest or price point.
ReplyDeleteI would much rater these be at Target because then I know I can get them for a decent clearance. Walmart will clearance stuff like 8 percent off and think they are doing something special.
Yay! I hope that the ones with articulated arms make it here soon!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you didn't say where you saw them. You can email me that! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: I like these guys. Interesting clothes. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteHey Muff, Roxanne, Ms. Leo, and Marta!
ReplyDeleteHi and Happy Columbus Day for anyone celebrating it ;-)
@Muff - this is the first time I have seen the guys so I am not sure if they sell out quickly at the stores I usually go to or they haven't reached there. Maybe the guys are not selling at this past location - shrug.
I agree that had they been sold at Target, we'd more likely be able to get them at a cheaper price. Walmart had the Hasbro 1 Direction Harry Styles back UP to $15.00 in the CLEARANCE section. LOL. Remember when I got mine at $9.99.
Learned from the Muffinator, lol.
@Roxanne - Oh, some of them have articulated arms, too? Cool. These were priced around $15.00 with articulated knees only. Hope you get them soon in your neighborhood. I found these in an area I usually do not shop.
@Ms. Leo - ho, I forgot about locals. I'll email you to give you a head start ;-)
@Marta - the guys are likeable, but their heads are soooo big. The clothes are nice for casual fashions. They are more traditionally "male" fashions than Ken has had recently.
I have no opinion but I want to say HI to everyone :)
ReplyDelete(buy 'em lol)
but keep in mind I make lots of bad decisions.
ReplyDeleteThey still have not showed up at my Walmart, only the girls. I think it is the $15 price that has them staying on the shelves. IMO they sold well at Family Dollar last year because of their discounted price. I only want the bald guy.
ReplyDeleteHi and yay, Super Cool Doll House and Georgia Girl!
ReplyDelete@Super Cool Doll House - thanks for the encouragement, lol. You make more great decisions ;-D
@Georgia Girl - totally agree with you about the Kenya dolls selling due to discounted prices. Shrug.
Hope the dolls reach you soon so that you can determine if they are worth the $15.00. On the plus side, it would cost between $5-10 to get a decent fashion alone so ... I dunno. I would prefer to wait for a sale, too.
But I don't want to miss out ...
then again, are they likely to sell out?
Uh huh ... remember when Janay and the Integrity playline dolls seemed ever-present ...
Sigh.
I'm officially exhausted, pish.
I've still yet to see them. When they do show up, I hope they also have the $10 versions like they do for the Kenya dolls. I don't need the larger package. Although if they have an extra pair of shoes, it may be worth it if the shoes can fit the larger dolls. I too, am only looking for TJ.
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa! I hope they have $10.00 versions, too. The ones I saw were for about $15.00. Here's to hoping those shoes can fit our larger footed guys and that you find them soon ;-)
