Moving on, this is also our national Bike month AND our national PET month. So I get to pull out my doll and action figure bikes and playscale pets. I have single bikes and one bicycle-for-two, but alas no unicycles. And I might not have any tricycles for the kiddies. Might not ... I have more stuff for the kiddies than I realize.
For a preview, I have photos of two Integrity Toys fashion dolls:
2001 InStyle Jade #53250
30036 and
2002 Fashion Forward: Subtle Elegance Israeli Candi #90024

Candi is gorgeous! It's always fun to go through one's collection from time to time. Sometimes you find a doll you forgot you had. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the face paint on the 2002 Fashion Forward: Subtle Elegance Israeli Candi #90024 !!! The subdued lip color is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: fabulous dolls. Candi is very pretty. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteI had the Sunshine Family surrey cycle as a girl. Bicycle built for two with a basket in the back and a cardboard cover. I sold it on eBay several years back.
ReplyDeleteI quite like that Candi doll. She looks like she stepped out of a 1950's movie.
ReplyDeleteHi Cindi, Ms. Leo, Marta, Barb, and Muff.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Candi dolls were and still are pretty, solid, and rocking a 1950s vibe.
@Barb - I vaguely recall that the Sunshine Family had a bicycle. I forgot that it was one built for two ;-)
Your dolls are very pretty and I am looking forward to photos of dolls from all these groups. It will be interesting to see what there is out there (and to have someone else do the research for us - thanks D7ana).
ReplyDeleteHola, es un gusto poder comentar desde la comodidad de mi tableta.
ReplyDeleteSeguro encontraras algo de estos grupos que buscas, yo quiero una integrity, es muy bonita la tuya.
Bueno, hasta pronto.
Great post. I look forward to seeing the other dolls you'll share from the ethnic groups being celebrated this month.

Yeah, I still have my Heart Family bike built for two. It has seen better days.
ReplyDeleteHi Carrickters, Lindaivette montes de oca, Black Doll Enthusiast, and Ms. Leo!
ReplyDelete@Carrickters - glad that you appreciate the loveliness that is/was Integrity (plus Helene Hamilton for the Candi) fashion dolls. I feel lucky to have bought them when I did ;-)
@Black Doll Enthusiast - thanks! Glad you enjoyed the post. Your collection is more extensive than mine - because you collect a wider range of doll types, etc. (Not trying to be a smart a$$, lol) I'd love to see your Haitian or other dolls and/or action figures whose heritage(s) are being celebrated this month.
@Ms. Leo - oh, that's a pity. Then again, one of your more crafty, handy characters might rehab that bike - with a little help from you ;-)
Anyone reading this post or these comments, please share links of your dolls or others' dolls who belong to the ethnic groups mentioned. I'll set aside a special links post if I receive five or more links in this vein.
Now to get some searching on ....
