Back in 2011, I took a daily blog post challenge for that July. That month, I submitted 22 posts. Let's see what happens this year. I have many posts that I need to complete from previous months - oh, yes, I have posts-in-waiting in my Drafts folder. I'll complete and publish them. So I have an edge there. But what about new topics?
July 1st Canada Day - Hey, hello, and hooray to YNU Group, Inc. for making the lovely Mixis Dolls.
July 4th Independence Day - Naomi is tearing up because Pennsylvania will be listening to Whitney Houston's version of Star Spangled Banner. You can check what the other States will be listening to here.
July 6th My Birthday - yeah, I'm celebrating this year. Stop by and wish me a happy one. Time and sentiment permitting, of course ;-D
National Ice Cream Month and National Blueberry Month, too. Maybe I will work those themes in, too. Maybe ;-D
Oh and I am going to try for a photo with every post this month. See below, Takara - Blue Box Toys G3 Battle of the Planets (Gatchaman) Jun.
I'm challenging myself in July also. I want to do 6 videos. I'm trying to post more blog posts, also, but not every day. In the summer months, traditionally I have slacked off. I need to keep it going this year, because I have a lot of stories to tell! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you on your challenge, and I look forward to seeing your blog topics!
I never challenge myself because I'm so easily distracted, lol, but good luck to you 'cause I'm looking forward to your posts!
ReplyDeleteI am blowing the dust off my computer to get back into my blog. I won't accept the challenge but you will "see" more of me.
ReplyDeleteLove the face & hair on your CyGirl. I remember the cartoon her character is based on
Hi RoxanneRoxanne, Muff, and Dollz4Moi!
ReplyDelete@Roxanne - I'm overdue posts from previous months so I figured a birthday present to me would be finishing them up and publishing them. Might not make every day, but if I try, I'll put out more. I need the discipline and the practice, ;-)
@Muff - thanks for the positive wish and I hope you enjoy the posts ;-D
@Dollz4Moi - Yay, you. Get that dust off that computer. I'll be glad to see you and your dollies, too. (Cackle, cackle.)
Jun says thanks. I used to watch that cartoon as "Battle of the Planets," too. Our Philly Jun has a different personality though.
Ambitious. Will check to see how you do. :D
ReplyDeleteSquee! My sisters and I used to *love* Battle of the Planets! May be silly to talk about a kids' cartoon series this way, but I remember feeling that the series ended too soon. Like they were getting to some plot revelation and then there were no more episodes. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully your post will inspire me to get the posts that I want done. I'm not as far reaching as you; all I want at this time is to get better pictures of my kitchen taken, and get some summery pictures taken using some new props that I have. That will also enable me to put up a new header.
Great challenge. I challenge myself to sew more doll clothes to give away as well as sew and sew for myself. I think I can, I think I can...LOL.
ReplyDeleteHi Roville, Barb the Evil Genius, and Brini!
ReplyDelete@Roville - I like the Joan Watson style of dress. Will be fun finding things to match it ;-)
@Barb - you might be able to view BotP online for free. I wonder if anyone gathered those stories and put them together as a book; that would be fun to read.
Good luck for your summery pictures. I love how you put up seasonal headers.
@Brini - Sure you can do it; make more doll clothes AND sew for yourself. You'll hsve unique fashions that no one else will have ;-)
Good luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteAnd that Gatchaman doll (figure?) is interesting-looking!
Interesting challenge. I figure you'll do great. Also, happy early birthday! I hope yours is as much fun as mine was. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi jSarie and Cindi Mortensen!
ReplyDeleteI'm likely to do "catch up" days when I have multiple posts ;-P I've forgotten how summer heat zaps my energy.
@jSarie - the Gatchaman Jun character, I consider her an action doll. She's posable like her male counterparts, but she has rooted hair and her clothes can be changed to other clothes. She has "boot feet". She doesn't have regular feet the way most dolls have.
@Cindi Mortensen - your birthday inspired me. Thanks for the wish!
Happy Birthday tooooo yooooou!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday tooooo yooooou!
Happy Birthday Dear D7aaaaana,
Happy Birthday tooooo yooooou!
...and many more!
@RoxanneRoxanne - lol! Thanks for the birthday wishes. I ate and ate. And now to be serenaded ... sniff, sniff. Knuckle bump and cyber hug.
