Summer is winding down. Temperature is in the 80s. Most days are sunny. Here we have Integrity Toys' "Wild" from the Monsieur Z Summer Babes wave stretched on a bench.

September Topics include:
Back to School dolls, action figures, and playsets
Doll and Action Figure Sale - I'm at a now or never point.
September 13 - International Chocolate Day. Short and possibly sweet: eat chocolate.
September 15 - October 15 - National Hispanic Heritage Month
September 27 - World Tourism Day. This year, Burkina Faso hosts World Tourism Day. Burkina Faso is a West African country formerly known as Upper Volta. Lonely Planet has a rich tourism page about Burkina Faso.
Swimwear in September. As in sales, you ask. No, as in, I haven't covered swimwear earlier this summer so I mean to squeeze it in now. What are dolls and action figures wearing and what have dolls and action figures worn?
The Liebstar Award, moving, and organizing are other topics I intend to cover. What's coming up for your blogs?
Happy Labor Day! It's nice you have a plan for the month. I just wing it most days. Enjoy the heat.
ReplyDeleteHi D7ana! Nice blog post and photos of Monsieur Z Wild (mine has gone through some changes). Happy Labor Day. It's nice to see what will be coming up for you in September. As for my blog, I anticipate that I will be taking a lot of photos in a couple of weeks, but I don't know if I'll get them posted in September. I have other posts that I never completed, so perhaps I'll get to some of those. :)
ReplyDeleteHi D7ana! Happy Labor Day to you also. I admire the fact that you always have a plan for the month for your blog. I wish I could be so organized with Moreville! LOL My plan is to write and post more stories as well as to work on another "comic" story for Fashion Doll Quarterly. As for what stories will I post? Well, that depends on which of the residents "talk" to me. LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteYay for the return of Hispanic Heritage Month! I'm going to do something with that.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking like I'm in for a string of dollhouse posts, though I need to get back to sewing for the fashion dolls.
Happy Labor Day, I see that Monsieur Z Wild and I have something in common!
ReplyDeleteI look forward for the swimwear post I'm addicted to swimwear!
Happy Labor Day to you! Looking forward to your upcoming post. I have no real plans for my blog, but to make all attempts to do a post or two. I need to get moving towards Juliana and Jabri's wedding so I definitely need to do more post. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Jaye, RoxanneRoxanne, Cindi Mortensen, Smaller Places, and Billa's Dolls and Fashions! Happy Labor Day, all!
ReplyDelete@Jaye - Planning helps me get stuff done ;-) Heat? Ugh - lol.
@RoxanneRoxanne - I look forward to seeing your photos whenever you post them ;-)
Good luck publishing your starter posts. I have some like that, sigh.
BTW - Monsieur Z Wild's head will be sold.
@Cindi Mortensen - Congratulations on getting the "comic" story for Fashion Doll Quarterly. Your stories deserve it ;-)
@Smaller Places - I'm going to try something a little different for Hispanic Heritage Month. Your dollhouse posts sound fun. I look forward to reading your sewing posts!
@Billa's Dolls and Fashions - I'll try to take good photos ;-)
Hi Georgia Girl ! Whoa, a wedding! I'm looking forward to the Event ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're looking forward to my posts ;-)
Happy Labor Day! I will be engaging in a bit of tourism by going to Universal Orlando for a week and I plan on stopping at Stone Cold Creamery at least 3 times and on the 3rd time, which will happen to be the 13th, I will definitely have fudge on my ice cream. Okay, I'm going to have fudge on the 2 times before that too. Wait. Is fudge chocolate?
ReplyDeleteHello from Spain: happy Labor Day. I like red your plans for the month about your blog. Very inspiring. I will continue creating dioramas. I have many new plans. My real life, my home, my husband and my children occupy most of my agenda for new projects. Keep in touch
ReplyDeleteLove that you have a plan for what you will blog about! You are so organized. I have marked September 13 on my calendar -- I mean, how could you not celebrate National Chocolate Day?!
ReplyDeleteI'm just trying to make time for everything: sewing, picture taking, tightening up my doll displays because they have gotten rather messy recently, things just placed somewhere to get them out of the way.
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day, and a smooth move. I'll pretend National Chocolate Day is International Chocolate Day and celebrate along. I hope to do some more doll clothes making in September, to reduce the fabric pile a bit!
ReplyDeleteHi Muff, All4 Barbie, Phyllis, Barb the Evil Genius, and Linda - Darkroom Dolls! I had a fun Labor Day - blogging, ha ha - and hope you had a good Monday, too.
ReplyDelete@Muff - Yay you, doing the tourism bit and savoring yummy ice cream. (I have not been to SCC yet. Do share your experiences - I'd love to know about their product.
Fudge is usually chocolate in the U.S.A., but it isn't always so. By your context, I assume you're talking the chocolate kind ;-)
@All4 Barbie - Your blog always has such fun slice-of-life moments. I would imagine your real life to resemble them. yes, we will stay in touch ;-)
@Phyllis - Glad you like my blog plans. And now that it's "International" Chocolate Day, it's all the more imperative that we celebrate it. Who wants to be unneighborly? Not I, lol.
@Barb the Evil Genius - Um messy? Grabs hair for a minute - who told on me? Wishing you and me luck on conquering or reducing the messies ;-)
@Linda - Darkroom Dolls - Groan ... the move. Thanks for the positive wishes. Much needed. International Chocolate Day is Sept 13th so you MUST participate ... well, feel free to do so ;-)
Good luck getting doll clothes made, too. I'll be carting my fabric swatches with me. Sigh.
There's a chocolate day??? How did I not know this? I must make preparations immediately.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun September! As for my blog, I have more post ideas than I have time. I'd like to get around to showing off some of my newer dolls and re-roots, though -- they're piling up fast! I also have a few more doll quilts to share. And then... there's my overly ambitious idea for a re-root tutorial. I guess we'll see!
International Chocolate Day? Now that sounds like a perfect holiday! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy photo-taking has outpaced my blog-posting, so I think my September plan will be to play catch up. We'll see!
Hi Sarah Sequins and jSarie!
ReplyDelete@Sarah Sequins - Oh, yes. Chocolate has other days, too. Me, I celebrate it year round ;-D
Lots of stuff planned here for September. I look forward to seeing your new dolls, your re-roots and that re-root tutorial. (I'm too lazy to re-root. Fun to see what others have done though.)
@jSarie - Yes, imagine the happy faces and mouths worldwide ...
Lots of photos chez-jSarie? Bring them out, bring them out, bring them out ... I wanna see them ;-D
Im sitting here eating a Hershey chocolate bar now, so I think I got International Chocolate Day covered, lol. My top priority is to get unpacked and organized so I can get back to creating.
ReplyDeleteNow that's the spirit, Brini! LOL
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the successful move, too. Here's to me following your example!
I didn't know about International Chocolate Day either - maybe I can celebrate it late seeing I had a cold at the time. As for swimwear, brilliant timing. We had our first warm day since April yesterday so Spring is finally coming and all the dolls are beginning to think about their warm weather wardrobes.
ReplyDeleteHi Carrickters! Glad to read that you are feeling better. An extension is definitely in order for you. If your cold experience is anything like mine, you couldn't have appreciated taste while you had the cold. The chocolate is still there, waiting to be enjoyed. It's chocolate!
ReplyDeleteDid you have a chilly August? I forget how different climates can be. We in Philly are moving toward cooler temps, BUT summer hasn't yielded its grasp. We may get a high of 82°F. Warm enough for me ;-)
I'd like to see your dolls' warm weather wardrobes. Sounds fun.
