The Roxborough City Avenue Target had these Teen Dora playsets available. At a cursory glance, they seemed almost compatible with Barbie-Joe-Mixis dolls. I couldn't do my usual scale check - holding a boxed Barbie in front of the box - because I was in a hurry. Has anyone seen these playsets out of the box and can you tell if these playsets are Barbie scale or off? I'd give the realism quality four plus stars - based on my brief sighting.
Thanks in advance for any answers provided.
I saw these playsets at a Target in my area also. They looked about right for my playscale dolls, but I didn't check. I wanted to buy the classroom playset but it's more than I want to pay right now.
ReplyDeleteI think the price was about $32.00 ... and with the new additional tax here in Philly, I am definitely waiting for a sale on any of those Dora sets.
ReplyDeleteI like the classroom, too. I think I could put together an art class though with accessories I have now. Just need to find enough stools ....
Is says $34.99 in the photo. I don't think its worth it having got a different classroom playset (similar to Gloria playset) for only $10. I have small photo here.
ReplyDeleteYay, Niel! The price is $34.99. Eyes widen. Blink. Okay aside from me being overdue for a trip to an optometrist's - that's way too much for what the set includes. A Gloria playset - even with the usual Gloria-postage fee - would be more reasonable than that.
ReplyDeleteOh and there exists a Gloria schoolroom placeset? Niel, you da man! Tipping me to goodies heretofore unknown ;-D
Not thrilled with the scrawny, big-headed look of the Dora teen dolls, but I do wonder if the accessories are 1:6.
ReplyDeleteThe Dora teens ... donation pile. Why oh why do these companies make these big-head dolls? It is sooo NOT cute. Arrgghhh!
ReplyDeleteThe room settings might be compatible for our 1:6 scale figures though. Course the price will have to come down a LOT before I'd get that stuff. I like the realistic look of the accessories.
The Dora doll though, would have to go. Out!
I love the photos and the interesting tid bits about the various dolls and displays.
ReplyDeleteInteresting site!
Jennifer
Thanks, Jennifer! Glad you enjoy PhillyCollector :-D
