The One World Doll Project announced that they will be selling the Prettie Girls dolls at ToysRUs.com So far, Lena and Valencia appear; the other dolls will appear this fall. The TRU price is $24.99 each doll.
Lena
Valencia
You might wonder why you should get the Prettie Girls from Toys R Us rather than from the manufacturers. Suppose Toys R Us offers free shipping on orders over $75.00. The $24.99 for your Prettie Girl would contribute to that cost.
If Toys R Us stores were to sell the Prettie Girls dolls, I would like that. Nothing better than seeing the actual doll and choosing which one of many, you want.
That is great that they will be in stores! I know that I certainly prefer to see a doll in person before buying.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome. And I have ToysRUs membership, so I get credits and coupons I can use. I almost always get free shipping from them. And if they are in the stores -- well that would be great. I have both Lena and Valencia, so can't wait to see the other girls. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteThis will be great! I too prefer to see a doll in person before buying it. I can't always tell from the promo photos what they really look like. Thanks for posting this Dana! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's good news. Having them available at TRU must really help sales, even if it's only online for now. (And bigger sales leads to more distributors, and hopefully one of them will offer cheap international shipping... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Muff, Phyllis, Cindi Mortensen, and Anderson's All-Purpose!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but the article does not say that the Prettie Girls dolls will be available in Toys R Us stores; just that they will sell via TRU online.
I was speculating about the benefits of them selling the dolls in the actual stores. That's wishful thinking on my part ;-}
I need to get at least one to support Stacy. I wonder if they will go down further at or after Christmas?
ReplyDeleteHi The grandmommy! That would be nice if they went on sale. My guess is that Lena and Valencia might go on sale for Black Friday and possibly during the pre- or post-Christmas season because they've been out for months. I'm eager to see the others.
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks for sharing this D7ana! I don't have any of them, but will be willing to get one or two.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that they do have the dolls in stores. I've seen them online, and they just haven't grabbed me enough to buy them. Perhaps seeing them in person would push them over the "buy me" edge.
ReplyDeleteHi Georgia Girl and Troy!
ReplyDelete@Georgia Girl - glad to share the news with you. Hope you get the ones that best please you.
@Troy - I agree that seeing them in the store could push people on to buy the dolls. Seeing a doll can lead to buying a doll. (I know because I bought my first two Mixis dolls because I saw them at s convention.)
Sounds like a winner for me. I would love to get both but will most likely pick one.
ReplyDeleteHi Brini! Good luck getting your Prettie Girl. How will you decide which one to get?
ReplyDelete(Me, I want Kimani, Dahlia, and Alexie.)
Thanks for the heads up! I've been going back and forth on whether I want to pick one of these up, so it's good to know there will be more shopping options soon!
ReplyDeleteHi jSarie! You're welcome. My pleasure. I like to think that more shipping options means more chances of sales ... ha ha. Yeah right.
