New Mixis - Facebook Alert

Three new Mixis dolls are shown on the Mixis Living Facebook page. Two of the dolls resemble two of the mystery dolls shown in an earlier post. [Note: you will need to scroll to nearly the bottom of the "Future" link to see the Mixis dolls; they follow the too-pretty-to-eat-but-I'll-try food photos.] The other doll resembles a doll in an early Mixis doll photo: I am ecstatic to think that she will be PRODUCED for the doll-buying market.

Mixis Connections: FaceBook, Twitter, and Blog

2010 and what is happening with the Mixis dolls and YNU Group, Inc.? One goal for YNU Group, Inc. is to promote the Mixis brand. Do you want to connect to the Mixis social sites to help the company reach their goal? Debbie Goodland, President and Founder of the YNU Group, Inc., sent these Mixis-related links:

Blog

Twitter

Facebook

Perhaps you have bought all the Mixis dolls that you wanted. No new dolls at the official web site ... no Toy Fair News. Lots of other dolls beckon. Ah, but what about the future? Click the link and ooohhh and ahhhhh. Surely spending a little time online with the social media is worth seeing those dolls in the vinyl.

Barbie is on Facebook ... Wonders of Marketing

This year is her 50th birthday, and what does the ever marketable - oops - trendy Barbie do? She gets a Facebook page. She has 91,741 fans. More are probably being added as I type. Did I add myself to that number - yes. Aside from getting Barbie news, that's a whole new forum for blog promotion. Emm ... MY blog promotion.

(Oh my! Did some of that infamous self-promotion rub off after thirty odd years? Sigh. Why not?)

Go Barbie!

Earth Day 2009 and Recycling Query

Today is Earth Day 2009.

Let's see, I have been breaking up my DAF packaging, separating the cardboard parts from the mostly clear plastic parts. In Philadelphia, cardboard is recycled. Plastic can be separated at participating work places and some schools, but it is not yet picked up separately by the city sanitation workers. So plastic waste needs to be bagged to be picked up. Shrug. Someday, perhaps.

Anyway, I have been thinking how there might actually be a need for the empty clear clamshell pieces I have accumulated during this deboxing period. Maybe someone is too shy to ask? Well, I figured it couldn't hurt to offer the stuff to others so I put a note up in my Linkedin and my Facebook accounts. If I don't try, I'll never know. So that was Try 1.

Or Try 2 since Try 1 was a blurb on Phillyblog.com ....
