Ever want to create a library for your playscale dolls and action figures? Today, I found a new one-sixth scale diorama website with that scene among several others. It's called The House at One Sixth.
The website author has links to Van's Doll Treasures and Erica's playscale items. Yay, ladies! Go, go, go with your great talents! Now the website author just has to add SmidgeGirl's site to their links. For completeness ;-D

New Blog(s): Reality Forest and Diorama Details
I was reading a post at Ms. Leo's blog when I saw a comment by another blogger. Clicked on the link and WOW!
Diorama heaven. And outside scene diorama tips. I love blogger and artist Matthew's explanations as to how he obtained the forest look for his story blog*, Reality Forest. There are such talented artists and storytellers among doll and action figure collectors.
*I should note though that Reality Forest seems an "adult" story. There is some doll nudity and mention of recreational drug use. I mention these to avoid offending any of my readers. (Oh and I know that my blog has some doll nudity, too. And I have mentioned body parts by name. Some readers probably scream upon viewing yet another nude doll comparison. But seriously, how will you know if I don't occasionally show?) The companion blog, REALITY FOREST : HOW IT'S MADE, seems to have detailed diorama creation notes.

Diorama Dreaming
I've been inspired by some awesome doll and action figure dioramas - mainly by these blogs: Creazione and Super Cool Doll House as well as other projects by other collectors. Now what would I do, if I were to do dioramas?
Oddly enough, I want a garage for my people. I am thinking a two or three shelf unit that could hold the various cars and other vehicles I have.
Then I would like to do a costume store at Halloween - with costumes on racks and figures trying out costumes. That would be fun for Halloween display.
I'd like a park scene, too. And a bus scene. A mall scene. A pub. A nightclub. Various rooms for specific dolls ....
But I'll need space. So I need to gather the stuff for these projects AND to make space for at least ONE scene this month. The garage would be simplest to do, but the costume shop seems more fun. Maybe I'll gather my current items for each and see which is the most do-able.

Save Us From the Sterilite Drawer! Part Two
The Sterilite chest of drawers is doll-free.
The former inhabitants are presently held in an open cardboard box or clear plastic package top as shown in the photo below. They will be soaked and dried and inspected for repairs, etc. The Free Moving Ken and the Love doll required repairs some time ago. Ken fell apart - Free Moving Curtis came undone the same way - the "free moving" construction did not hold up. Love lost hair and one leg came off it's setting. Mary Quant Daisy has a partially melted butt. The others just seem to be dusty.
Where will the newly liberated crew go? After their clean-up, I would like to arrange them in my shelving units. I need to insert either a cardboard floor or a rug to a.) keep the dolls from slipping through the slits in the shelves and b.) to avoid bad plastic-plastic contact. I'll have to debox more dolls or move some boxed DAFs around, but having them out like that will satisfy both the storage/home need AND the diorama interest.
Wonder what setting they can fit into? Possibly a lobby or a park? Suggestions welcome ;-D
