My guys - dolls and action figures alike - felt left out. So I offer this post as sop to them and as a photo theme contrast to my recent photos of female dolls and action figures. I gathered my long-haired guys and aimed the camera at them. For your viewing, the Samsons of East Philly:
Back row: customized Mattel Blaine, Toy Biz Gandalf, Bbi Tyr, Jakks Pacific Oliver, Jakks Pacific Van Helsing
Second row: Mattel John Smith, Dragon Ekin Cheng, Jakks Pacific Chris Jericho, Takara Chinese Tom, and Mattel Kocoum
Front row: Mattel Harley Davidson Ken 1, Mattel Legolas, Mattel Li Shang, and Hasbro Prince Moses

hehe cool pic... wish I had bought the Pocahontas dolls when they were available...
wooo-whooo!! Love the long hair males :)
Me, too, Therese. I lucked out and got Kocoum in an online auction for $20 postpaid.
However, the Disney store has Pocahontas, Li Shang, and a few other princes and princesses on sale 2 for $15. Hope they can help you expand your collection as you would like it ;-D
P.S. They also have Prince Naveem for sale solo - $16.50.
I wanted a Merlin but could not aford him. :( I notice some males are in their original outfits and some are not. The original outfits never seemed to work for me. All my men have been re-dressed! Who is the guy behind Prince Moses and who is beside Captain Smith. I bought all the doll in the Pocahontas line. I love them! I like the Kocoum(native male) and the Nakoma(other female). Kocoum is now in a fashion Ave. suede fawn colored jacket and jeans. He kept his necklace. I believe in 3-1(third world in the fist world)fashions. The Marines have it righ! I'm alway looking for a few good men. You have to have action figure to do that. They have great faces and and new ones more often. I did a minor paint job on my Moses. He looks more uban now with his re-dress(kept the ring). I think I need a street scene for to show my dolls.
Glad you like them, too, Sabriam. I also like the short-haired and bald guys ;-D.
I-Luv-Dolls, Moses went back to his loincloth because his usual pinstriped suit is dusty.
Behind Prince Moses are a customized Blaine (black hair) and Toy Fair's Gandalf. Beside Captain Smith is Dragon Action Figure Ekin Cheng. I'll update the post to include that information ;-)
I love that picture of your guys. I think male dolls are not given they attention they need. I would love to see more of them on the market and ones with long hair would be even better. You've got a lovely collection of them. :-)
I like the guys with rooted hair. It would be fun styling their hair. Hehehe.
I also like, the opposite, Barbie with molded hair (Fashion Queen) as long as she has a set of wigs! :)
Hair (and its added play value) is a major criteria for me in buying/keeping a doll. :)
I'd liked the Disney dolls more when they didn't have such huge heads...
Chelle, you're right, the guys do get less coverage. I need to do more photos of them and articles about them.
Niel, I prefer rooted hair, but I confess, I'm lazy about playing with it ;-)
Therese, I am with you about the big heads. Much as I adore Li Shang and Kocoum, sheesh, do they have BIG heads LOL. Wish Mattel would scale down.
