This post makes me think about what dolls that have that are hispanic. You have quite a few.
I know most of the Mattel dolls are supposed to be teenagers, but most don't look that young. Teresa face is diffently that of a woman and so is Marisa. Neither could pass for "19" P.Bo, Ana, Tia maybe. Most of the Mattel dolls look early to late "20's". Mattel has a hard time giving teenagers the teenage look. Vi-sa-vis Twilight line. Most of them look 30. Gabriella is the only doll I've seen them do that has that wide-eyed look of a teen and even then only in the skipper sized doll. The 11 1/2 inch doll looks like Catherine Zeta Jones.
Wow! You have quite a few. Do you have any Integrity dolls? I though Alysa was supposed to be Hispanic and I thought some of the Candi's that Jason Wu did were also supposed to be Hispanic. I might be wrong, but that is what I remember. Anyway, which doll do you think is the best among those that you have?
It's really nice to see more colours in dolls. hope for a Malay doll in the future.
Ms. Leo: Mattel + teenage dolls - remember the first Barbies? They looked at least 40, LOL.
Kim, yes, yes, yes, LOL
I have lots of Integrity dolls. Alysa is supposed to be Hispanic as are many of the Jason Wu Candis. I like the Janay for the hair, but Candi for the face ;-)
ilHam, I LOVE doll diversity, too.
iLham, guess what? There was a Malaysian Barbie back in 1991.
Ah now if there were a Malaysian Ken ... ;-D
