Happy Thanksgiving!
Dear Readers and Followers (aka Readers Plus ;-D)
Thanks for spending time with me. I appreciate you ALL!
Hi and thanks, Therese and "iLham" for your Thanksgiving wishes. I had a nice day - peaceful and satisfying with plenty of turkey, oyster stuffing, string beans w. onions, oh and lemon coconut cake. Sigh.
I would have saved turkey for you, "iLham," but I feared the turkey would spoil in transit. Really and truly, I would have. But please consider "turkey saved" for you in spirit. LOL, yes, I know that wouldn't satisfy much. Sad pout. Shrug.
Hi, Kim! Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. My Mom added a little lemon zest and a little lemon juice to a white cake mix, topped the prepared (cooked) cake with cream cheese frosting and dusted the frosting with toasted coconut. Oh, my my. And I am not a "big" cake eater. (Well, except for Wellesley fudge cake ... fresh chocolate chip or oatmeal-raisin-cashew cookies being my preference ;-D)
Winter brings forth the foodie in me, LOL. Especially desserts. Sigh.
Calories going to return, I guess. Frowns at that unwelcome thought.

Happy Thanksgiving to you. It sounds like you had a great meal! I don't think I have ever had lemon coconut cake before.
