Seen at Target: Playscale Ice Cream Bike

There's a new playscale cycle in town: the Moxie Girlz have an Ice Cream Bike. The bike is a bright and light blue; the ice cream cart before it is - you guessed it, pale pink. The cold storage area holds the extra ice cream scoops and doll dollar bills. (Not sanitary, I would think, but I suppose more finicky people can give Sophina a money belt to use instead.) The actual ice cream cones are set out along the front and top of the storage area. (Also not sanitary, sigh.)

What interests me about this playset is that this Moxie Girlz, Sophina, has JOINTED KNEES! Yes, a partially articulated Moxie Girlz body. My first thought was "new body donor." Which young teen head would fit on that body? Then the price registered: $34.99. Okay, the ice cream bike plays music, and the doll is articulated. But $34.99 - before taxes? Not likely. There are three dolls I could get for that same money. Wait for clearance.

Hi Dana, the articulation creates possibilities indeed for doll surgeons. The video is very cute!

Hi Muff and Night Owl!

@Muff, my pleasure. You are welcome. Glad that there was a video showing the bike in action.

@Night Owl - the articulated Moxie body drew my eye more than bike at first, lol.

I enjoy seeing videos by younger collectors because you pick up on their enthusiasm and enjoyment at playing.

Too expensive for my taste also, but it is very cute. The knees joints are the loose, floppy knee joints, so you definitely need to be a doll surgeon like Muff to make that body useful.

Jump, jump, jump, jump! (If you watched the video, you know what this is for!) That is me showing my enjoyment of this young reviewers video!

Yes, the price is dear considering what you get. No offense, but adding a musical component does not enhance an item that much.

Yes, I enjoyed how the young reviewer demonstrated the floppiness of the knee joints. I enjoyed the video, too, ;-)

Thanks for showing this. It doesn't really appeal to me, but it did make me crave some ice cream. :) I watched a little bit of the video, and it was adorable.

I agree I will wait for the clearance price. I think her body will do good for my Camping Chelsea. Cute video.

Hi Marta, RoxanneRoxanne, Brini, and Phyllis (forgot to name you in the last response I wrote)!

@Marta - yes, I agree that the set is expensive for what it has. Will keep in touch ;-)

@Roxanne - you're welcome. I can almost always find room for ice cream and frozen novelties ;-) Glad you enjoyed the video.

@Brini - hark, what do we wait for? Clearance sale! Glad you enjoyed the video, too.

I didn't see any ice cream did I miss it?

Hi The grandmommy! LOL, the ice cream doesn't really look like ice cream - see those funny looking pattie things in light blue, pink, yellow, and purple are supposed to be ice cream scoops.

I did a search for photos on this bike, and guess what I discovered. Muff wrote a post about this and some other playsets. (Sigh, The grandmommy, I fear I am suffering senior moments; where has my memory gone, lol?) This photo shows the "ice cream" better ;-)
