SiS Pastry Kara 2 - Seen at Walmart
Curious about the only doll among the So in Style Pastry, 2nd wave dolls, who isn't immersed in pink and/or purple? Here she is, Kara, wearing a green and gray outfit. Fellow SiS pal Trichelle accompanies Kara in this photo.
Whoever thought that green and gray would be an antidote to excess pink/purple?

I love this outfit! Everytime I see it I almost purchase this doll just for the outfit. Hate the on arm bent dolls as much as the muse.
I want all 4 of these dolls, but I don't think I will buy any of them without them being on sale. I just don't need another doll with the exact same face. The Kara outfit is my least favorite. I'm not too fond of the purple one, but I think on the right doll it will be fine. I love all of the shoes. To get sneakers like that for heeled dolls is a definite plus. Now if they were articulated...
I'm not crazy about the one bent arm either, Ms. Leo. Shrug. Nice to see another color though. Hope you get the outfit soon ;-D
I hear you, Vanessa, about the same dolls and the lack of articulation. Wouldn't it be cool if Mattel issued Pastry SiS fashions separately? Oh, wait, then some of us might NOT buy the dolls again, lol.
It's not like they aren't going to drop the SIS line the first chance they get. They might as well start selling the outfits. They just introduced another line of dolls that are $12+ and unarticulated. That company irritates the hell out of me. Oh, I didn't see any AA dolls in the new line, at least not at my Walmart.
Aw, now Vanessa, you know Mattel wants to keep SpinMaster and other companies that create articulated doll companies going and viable. Pretty darn generous of them, hmm? That's the only reason why they keep producing low-articulation dolls, in spite of the GROWING articulation movement, lol. They NEED the competition.
You mention some 12" limited posea dolls ... drawing in a deep breath ... were these dolls called "Stardolls by Barbie?" I can tell by the dolls' stance and unbroken leg and arm lines that they are probably straight-legged like the Integrity ITBE dolls, but I'm still excited about the new doll faces and the outfits. Sigh. I take what I can get ;-D
BTW, I think the one in a yellow top with black pants/leggings might be the token Black/Hispanic/ethnic doll. Not sure yet, but guessing ....
