Given the recent articulation reductions in some Liv doll lines, some Liv fans might wonder, where can we find the better Liv bodies?
Walmart and Ross Dress for Less still have some of the earlier Liv lines. Walmart has them at $6.90 while Ross has them at about $7.99. Pretty decent prices for flexibility.

Thanks D7ana. I didn't realize LIV had reinvented their wheel. Why mess up a relatively good thing (except for those flat hands)? I haven't purchased any of the new dolls and do not have any plans to. It's good to know where to look for the older bodies.

Thanks for letting me know. I have been looking for a darker Alexis body for months now.
You're welcome, DBG. And yes, I think it's important to share that information. Get ourselves the best Liv bodies we can find at the best prices. So we don't have to suffer from SpinMaster's errors.
As for flat hands, Niel had posted a remedy for them.
Haste makes stupid mistakes ;-P
The tutorial for giving more natural hand placement was from a post on Christine Goff's The 6th Dimension website. (Alas, that web site seems to be inaccessible now.)
Hello from spain: too bad i do not live in your country because you always tell us the best strores to find interesting dolls. I also prefer the articulated body in my Barbies and LIV. kEEP in touch
I've been setting them at thrift stores a lot. I still buy up every one I see, even though I don't need any new ones right now. You just never know when stuff like that will go away.
Sometimes I swear it's like a conspiracy the way they change these dolls bodies.
@Brini ... you are welcome. The Alexis body I saw was the light complexion one. I think that the darker ones might be exclusive to Target because they sold the darker Alexis in the Liv in Wonderland dolls.
Has anyone seen the darker Alexis dolls outside of Target? Oh wait, the new color sets seem to have the darker complexioned doll, but those dolls have less articulation ....
@Marta - I wish it were easier to send dolls via postal services ;-)
@MissLola77 - yes, it's always good to nab good parts when you can. The good stuff doesn't always last as long as we would like ;-(
@Hey It's Muff - sigh ... I think sometimes toy companies have self-sabotage buttons that they fiddle with from time to time. Oh, did I survive that change? Here, let me go for another ... crash!
Thanks for stopping by everyone ;-D
what are the differences in the newer bodies? I just bought five Livs at Walmart for 6.90 - my thinking was similar to Lola's of course.
Thanks for the info. I will check them out this weekend.
Hi Kristl! The Target Exclusives Brites do not have articulation at the ankle.
Hi Georgia Girl! Good luck! Happy Hunting!
Okay! Got it. Thanks.
You're welcome, Kristl. I sent a query to Emily to check that it's just the ankle movement that's been lost. I'll update if there are more changes.
