Update: Vanessa reports seeing this item in an IKEA store. The 13" roof is at the peak, not throughout the entire structure. I think that it could still be used in a diorama setting - possibly at the rear and slightly elevated - but I am going to update this post to reflect that it isn't a true playscale-size.
So join me in giving Rosi a hand. Thanks for this whiff of spring. Yay for the promise of green. Yay for our playscale-scouting pal, Rosi.

It would be great for the teenage dolls too, and the "grown-ups" can sit in front of it on a table or something. Maybe fake tomatoes or orchids would look nice in it :-).
Not to be weird, but I think it would an excellent stage for a creepy horror scene. Maybe it's a foggy evening in the London countryside and someone is laying in wait for the young master to leave the greenhouse.
Love it!
Hi Nymphaea and Muff! Thanks for commenting.
@Nymphaea - yes, the teens would fit nicely there. Fake tomatoes and orchids would be nice because they'd be less likely to drip anything on the dolls. (I had not considered that aspect before.)
@Muff - there was a movie where the teenaged babysitter was sitting a child in a large house with a koi pond and - possibly a greenhouse. So, yeah, it could totally work for such a setting. Maybe the young master does not realize that the psycho killer is actually in the greenhouse with him. Cue to scream. ;-D
Hello from Spain: great scenery. In my town does not snow but we've since December with heavy rains. Keep in touch
Hi Marta! Ugh, heavy rains do not sound fun ;-P Hope the rains get lighter. Yes, will keep in touch. Glad you admired the greenhouse ;-)
Rosi has a good eye, these structures have so much potential. I’d love to see what others do with them.
Hi Ro! Yes, she does have a good eye, hey Rosi! Would be exciting to see how they are expanded on ;-)
I saw this at Ikea a couple months ago, had it in my cart, then realized it wasn't going to work. The 17" is point at the very top. And although it seems like it would be perfect, there isn't enough space for the dolls to stand and move around. Just my opinion of course.
Hi Vanessa! I appreciate those points. Seeing the actual product shows the limitations that alas the dimensions alone do not provide. If the bottom were open, we could work around the short ceiling by placing it on a base.
Hmmm ... maybe this greenhouse could be set in the background. Placed on slightly higher "ground" and behind the dolls ...
Thanks, Vanessa. I'll adjust the main post to include this feedback ;-)
