June Topics: Shelter Cats, Carribean Heritage, Fathers, Gay Pride, and Men
Gay Pride Month
International Men's Month
As usual, I retain the right to bring up other matters ... like June brides, etc. Or short rambles about similar face sculpts. I used to think that Carnival Barbie and High School Musical Tiara Gold had the same face mold. Havilland Parker believes that they are different. So I photographed the two AND checked their head markings. Well, the markings differ.
Carnival Barbie's head is stamped: ©2003 on the top line and MATTEL, INC. on the second line
Tiara Gold's head is stamped: ©2008 MATTEL on one line
Here they are together.

Hi D7ana, I really think they look diffrent, cheekbones, nose and chin. Not twins but first cousins I believe.
They look different to me as well.
We've only adopted one shelter cat, but we've had three others we adopted "off the street." One was pregnant, one was unspayed and in heat, and the last had two kinds of worms, poor little girls.
I see different cheekbones, chin, lips and head size, so I believe that they are different face sculpts.
I didn't know you celebrate a Caribbean Heritage month in the US. I checked the website and saw all the interesting events. Have you ever attend any?
Hi Billa's dolls and fashions, Barb the Evil Genius, and Allenoel! Thanks for your feedback about the 2 Mattel head molds.
@Billa's dolls and fashions - Ah, yes, first cousins. I like that idea. Thanks for sharing it ;-)
@Barb the Evil Genius - my one and only cat to date was adopted "off the street," too. Louie de Cat has been with us for 11 years. So I haven't had any "shelter cats," but maybe my dolls and action figures have ;-)
@Allenoel - Alas, no I have not yet attended any Caribbean yet. I might try and see something this year - I'll share here if I do ;-)
From the side they look very similar, however at the front Carnival Barbie nose seems to be a bit wider.
The two heads seem to have different noses to my eye, but I can see the resemblance as well - I think it's the smiles and the foreheads. They could definitely be family!
In any case, looking forward to all of the June festivals as well! :)
Hi Natalia Tadra and jSarie! Thanks for your feedback.
@Natalia Tadra - I agree that Carnival Barbie's nose is a little wider.
@jSarie - yes, the noses differ. I like the idea of making them family.
Yay June festivals!
ello from Spain: they are very similar. Indeed, they were separated at birth. We keep in touch
I think they are different head sculpts. They are similar but different. Thanks for listing the June topics.
Hi Marta and Ms. Leo! Yes, they are similar faces ;-)
Carnival and Tiara are different headmolds. Even though they differ I like to think that Carnival & Gabriella doll from HSM are similar too.
This is going to be an interesting month :O)
Hi Dollz4Moi! I have the first HSM Gabriella somewhere - so I can check to see if they have the same markings .... I had thought that they were the same - shrug.
This is going to be a challenging month, too. I do mean to be more lively this month ;-}
From the side they definitely look the same to me.
Hi Muff! I thought that, too.
