Mysterious Seaside Barbie ... Have You Seen Her?

I saw the Seaside Barbie in a local Walmart and took a photo of her just because ... well, she was there. I mean a doll I had not seen before. Then I tried to find her online and whoa, she does not appear on Walmart.com or under any of the search engines I tried. Has anyone seen her before? There was only the one doll left, and her box was a little tacky from - possibly - soda spray.

Here is a full-length view, a little askew ...

The back of her box ... which seems to have her as a blond character ...?

A close-up of her face ...

Now I almost wish that I had bought her. Hmmm ... almost.

Cool find Dana! I've never seen this doll before, but her face is the same as the fashionista Teresa...I think. LOL However, I did find the patio swing at my local Walmart today, so I immediately snatched it up! Yea! :-)

Hello from Spain: in my country this doll is not for sale in stores. Furthermore, the body is not as fashionistas. It is not articulable ... Keep in touch

Never seen her before too. She is quite interesting, I like Summer facemold, and those brown hair, wish I could find her in some store (if she is cheap, of course, since she isn't articulated)

She's cute! According to this ebay auction - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Barbie-Loves-to-Travel-Destination-SEASIDE-New-Jersey-New-in-Box-/160983847754?pt=US_Dolls_Bears_Toys&hash=item257b62934a - she's called Barbie Loves to Travel Destination SEASIDE New Jersey, a Wallmart exclusive.

I believe there are/were three different dolls and they were sold at WM on Black Friday for $5.00.

She sure is colorful.

Hi Cindi, Marta, Jewel Snake, Anonymous, Charmed Playscale, and Muff!

Thanks for your comments! I think that this doll was on sale for $10.00. (Thanks Anonymous and Charmed Playscale for your additional information.) So this doll is part of a Walmart exclusive set, Barbie Loves to Travel.

Congratulations, Cindi, on getting the patio swing.

@Marta and Jewel Snake - no she seems to be a regular bend knee doll. No articulation, alas.

@Muff - yes, she has nice coloring and hazel-green eyes.

What patio swing? Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be commenting about the doll. Never seen her before, but I'm glad you weren't too tempted, since she's not articulated.

Hi Vanessa! Thanks for stopping by. The patio is shown in the previous post.

I like the doll's face, but yes, the lack of articulation did reduce her chance of being bought.

I was in Walmart today and I didn't see her. Maybe I was to busy looking for SIS doll to notice her. I like the dress but as others have said, no articulated body. That is a turn off now.

Hi, Ms. Leo. Thanks for stopping by!

She was in the first Roosevelt Blvd. Walmart - I think. She was the last of her type, in the clearance section. She's cute, but yes, as many of us find now, articulation plus cute seals a doll deal ;-D
