Any KISS Fans Visiting?

How many fans of "Beth" or "All American Man" are reading today's post? I confess: I briefly was a Kiss fan. Late 1970s. "Shy" Peter Kriss, the dreamy drummer. That was the closest to "official cool" that I got, lol. Any fans have the original Mego KISS dolls of 1977-78? Them, I did not get because the faces were permanently painted. I wasn't die-hard enough of a fan to want them forever painted. So I did not buy the original Mego set. Shrug.

Well, if you missed getting the Mego dolls then AND if you feel nostalgic, you can search for those figures on eBay or you can check out the NEW KISS dolls. Yes, there are new KISS dolls. Figures Toy Company will be selling 8" and 12" KISS dolls. Mego Musuem interviews Anthony Balasco of Figures Toy about these KISS dolls. The company has a contact form for those interested in them.

Will I be getting any of them? No. I no longer care to be "cool." But I'd love to see the dolls online.

I would have loved to have added them to my collection years ago but were to pricey for my budget. I don't really collect character dolls or figures unless they're deeply discounted and practically free. I check out the new ones when they come out, thanks.

If they were more versatilve ... say, they had two heads - one with makeup, the other without - I might consider getting them. But they don't and I have a legion of dolls and action figures I would want before them.

Unless, of course, I saw them on sale for $10.00 or less ;-P

Still it will be interesting to see where they end up - in whose collection ....

I bought the Beatles figures from Hamilton really cheap back in the late 90s. Like under 10.00 for each one except Ringo. Ringo still alludes me because it went for more than the original price of four together. I tried to buy him on his own at a gift store and the owner wouldn't let me just buy him, even though they were priced individually. Crook!

Hi Pattidolls! Would you post your Beatles dolls on your blog? I would LOVE to see what they look like. I have 2 of the Monkees finger puppets somewhere.

I remember Kiss quite well! I had a Kiss school folder that some other kid gave me and I wanted a lunch box but my mother refused to buy it. Liking Kiss really wasn't acceptable in my neck of the woods.

Even though they were a "secret" love of mine I actually don't think I would want a doll of them now. I would only want one in full makeup, but I don't see how that would fit with my other dolls.

That's a good and interesting point, Muff. How well would KISS dolls fit in with our other dolls? They'd get along fine with my Aja and Roxy from Jem. I don't see them clicking with the Power Team crew or the Joes. Their make-up would offend the Kens. Then again, maybe they'd all get along swell.

I would LOVE to see your Clawdeen's response to them though. :-D
