Millie's New Friend and More Shasarignis' Fashions

Millie (BMR1959 GHT92) wants to introduce her new friend, Max. Max is a German Shepherd.

"Isn't he beautiful?"

"I think he's a superior dog."

"So good-natured ...."

Jade (KMart Just Dollz Jade Princess) and Sheeda (BMR1959 GHT91) pause during their Shasarignis photo shoot to meet Max. They are curious, but they want to protect their pretty dresses.

Jade wonders if there is a way they could incorporate Max into the photo shoot.

Max is a Hibon German Shepherd dog for 1:6 scale action figures. Max is not his official name. When he arrived, Millie and I decided he would be named "Max" after the Bionic Woman's dog. Millie's favorite scene of "The Bionic Woman" was when Jaime, the Bionic Woman, ordered her German Shepherd dog to "look out." The director actually showed the dog peering around the corner as if he were following her instructions. Seriously? Oh yeah. Granted, I'm biased towards cats, so maybe … maybe you can instruct dogs like that? Any dog connoisseur's want to comment?

Doggies make better friends for girls than diamonds do!

LOL, @RagingMoon1987's comment. The ladies agree - better a dog (or cat or turtle or snake or ... you get the drift) than diamonds. Thanks for visiting and for giving us a laugh.

I'm always looking for realistic looking pets that are a good scale. I only have the Mattel ones now, they fall a little short on detail... Max is a beauty-enjoy:@)

Max looks like he'll make a great companion for your crowd. I watched the Bionic Woman as a girl, but I remember nothing from that, or the Six-Million Dollar Man, except for the sound effects when they kicked into "bionic" mode. German Shepherds are supposed to be one of the more intelligent dog breeds; maybe Millie can have some fun teaching him some cool tricks.

I can see why Jade and Sheeda want to protect those dresses; they're very pretty. They also are both wearing some nice jewelry too.

Hi Linda and Lynn!

@Linda - Millie and I thank you for the compliment to Max. And our naming skills, lol.

I've got some more Shasarignis dresses, etc. They are beautiful. I'll share them soon.

Yes, dogs are intelligent, and temperament-wise, they'd be more likely to cooperate than cats. I haven't seen "The Bionic Woman" in years. Walmart.com has the complete series on DVD, but I don't know if that's available outside the U.S. (I think there are different formats, etc. for different regions.)

Yes, Hey Babe does have an original name. When I first met him, I didn't know if he had a name already since he seemed shy-friendly. So to get his attention, I'd called "hey, babe." When I brought him in after no one claimed him, I continued calling him, "hey, babe." My sisters told me that I couldn't call a cat that, so me being me, "Hey Babe" became his new "official" name. Shrug. When I shake the Temptations treat bag, he runs to me. Eh, cats.

@Lynn - snap. I forgot to put the source. I got Max from Amazon - where they also have a similarly-scaled doberman. Max was $18.99 before shipping and tax, but I think he's worth it. I wouldn't have thought I'd spend that much on a "pet," but he sort of completed Millie's story for me. Shrug.

Mattel's animal pets not only lack detail, the more recent ones have these hideous over-sized heads and goofy large eyes. Ick. LOL.

Thanks for commenting!

Hi Barb! Yes, Max looks promising. I don't have a dog nor have I ever had one so I'll need to do a little research to keep him in proper character. Millie will have fun training and hanging out with him.

That scene where Max the dog peeped around the corner amused my Mom and my sisters and me years ago. Now that you mention it though, I remember that "bionic" mode sound, too. Tv shows where so innocent then. I mean I've seen some interesting stuff in recent years, but nothing "sweet" like the 1960s-1980s.

Yes, the Shasarignis dresses are pretty. The jewellery came with Jade and Sheeda. (Lucky them, lucky me!) I've got some fun additional accessories I intend to use with the Shasarignis fashions. I'm gonna have some fun in 2020. Wishing fun your way, too. Thanks for visiting!

Wow, he looks very realistic. Max is a great name for a dog and I feel like it really suits him. I don't know much about dogs or animals in general, so I can't really tell you anything about how can they be trained.

Hope you have a lovely rest of the week.

Loving your Max! He is a really friendly looking dog compared to a lot of the dogs you find for action figures. I do like his realism. I am a dog person. If you put in a lot of time training a dog, it is amazing what they can do. Just think of what some service dogs are capable of doing for their companions. Anything from turning lights on and off, to opening doors and so many other things I have seen. And then there is our dog, Carly. She is the master of sneakiness! I may be using some of her antics in stories later!

So good to reconnect with so many doll friends again!

Hi, Monstercrafts, Phyllis, and Shasarignis! Thanks for stopping by and for commenting!

@Monstercrafts - thanks! Yes, he is realistic, Max. I'll enjoy researching dogs. (I love researching stuff.) I hope you have a wonderful week too - let's NOT allow 2020 to break our spirits.

@Phyllis - yes, Max is decidedly more friendly looking than most action figure dogs. Remember this doberman? Brrr ... No way I'd have a dog pulling that face around, lol. I'm definitely cat-biased, but I've met sweet dogs in my life. Carly sounds fun; you should definitely use her antics in your stories.

Yes, it's good to reconnect with doll friends.

@Shasarignis - I was holding off opening the new package until I had finished my photos for the forst package, but I got curious and peeped. Labels! Cool. Thanks again, Shasarignis! I'm loving both themes.
