Tim Gunn Barbies at Target - Thanks, Allison!

Alison in CA has news and photos of the soon-to-be launched Tim Gunn Barbies,  Target exclusives. I'm not particularly fashion-keen, but I think the fashions look neat for Barbie-wear. Then again, these dolls probably are targeted (ouch, I slay me as [No]Angelus would say) for adult collectors. Very classy and stylish looking. Pity they seem to be on Model Muse bodies. Shrug.

My would gets are the Casual Style and the Work Style. Now those are outfits that I would wear myself. Can you repeat after me, "Fat chance." Sigh.

I adore Tim Gunn. I will likely actually pay full price for these...which in my world is unheard of!

Tim Gunn is new to me, but I LOVE these fashions. They remind me of the Tweeds catalogs. Sigh.

Ah, man! You know until you pointed out that they were on Model Muse I didn't even make the connection. If that's the case then the pants and tight skirts will not fit the hippier playline girls. Have to put them on the Liv bodies I guess. Hmmm.

Love, love, love Tim Gunn. He is such a sweetheart. "Make it Work"! I love these fashions and if they are able to fit dolls other than MM bodies, I will add them to the collection. I'm hoping someone was smart enough to make these fashions versatile like they did the BB 2.0 series.

Hi and thanks, Muff and Vanessa! Yeah, I was thinking the pants and the tight skirt - two of my favorite pieces - would not be useable for some of my fave dolls. I wonder if they would fit T.J.? Sigh. Darn. Most of my Liv bodied dolls are younger and less likely to be assigned more sophisticated fashions. Then again, my AA Go Red Barbie has that MM body and she would really ROCK those fashions. Well, the black jeans and yellow jacket anyway. The office fashion is less likely for her. She said it looked like secretarial work, and did she look like anyone's secretary? Gulp. Denied that anyone could ever think that of her pretty quick.

Doll divas ....

Thanks, Ms_Lola_77! I forgot to mention that and how I'd like to get these when "fresh" and at full price to avoid missing them altogether. 'cause you know that will happen for some things. They just sell so fast, pop. Finger snap. Buh bye. Sigh. Like the articulated BB 2.0 ....

Let's not assume they won't work for the fashionista bodies. If they are made of stretch fabrics like the jeans, they will probably fit. However, they won't fit the belly button bodies. They will probably also fir the gymnast flat footed bodies. Those bodies are smaller in the waist and hips.

Thanks for this additional information, Vanessa. I still do not have a Fashionista body ;-P. I was thinking of the Mattel Belly Button bodies and the Integrity Dynamite Girls bodies. I've got a flat-footed gymnast body (Perfect Pink Teresa) that I would like to use with another head - that PP Teresa has a huge forehead - but I haven't found a head I'd like for it yet) - possibly more of those bodies so the outfit would not go unclaimed, lol.
