Upcoming Third Anniversary of PhillyCollector of Playscale Dolls

Time flies? Well, it can and does move quicker than expected when you're doing something you enjoy. So here I am, three years after I began this blog, PhillyCollector. Yes, three years. I've learned how to upload photos and insert links. I've wrestled with HTML to present lists and tables ... we won't say who won those early battles. Suffice to note: I am NOT backing down yet. Puff.

In fact, I am considering a blog update. No! some of you might be thinking. Please keep this cluttered format. Please. How else will we recognize you? By your cough wit? Ha! Yes, an update is overdue for the blog.

Why am I telling you this? Well, I value your opinions. You are readers of PhillyCollector. Let me know what you think I need to do to refresh.  I'll consider doing it.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

If there should be any changes I think it should reflect who you are. This blog is about the Philly Collector, the person, right? :)

I just redesigned my blog. I was bored of the dark background. Go for it!

I think a refreshing is always a good thing. As long as you do it the way you like it best. It's like going to a spa - you return different, but it's still you and you feel good!

Hooray! I don't care what you do to the format so long as the content remains the same. Keep those fascinating observations, questions and commentary about dolls, doll culture and society coming! This is a great blog.

First, thanks Frannie, Niel, Terri Gold, Vanessa, and Kim! I appreciate your comments and apologize for my delayed response.

Frannie - thanks for the wish; we aren't exactly at our third anniversary - next month, I need to check the date, but I think it's August 8th. Still I want to prepare for it so I'm starting early.

Aw, Niel. You are such a sweetie. Thanks for writing that. And I will keep that in mind. Need to live up to the blog title, ;-D

Terri oh wow. I LOVE your photography. Your redesign looks great. The dark background looked striking, but I like the clearer, more open look of the white background. Thanks for sharing your update.

Vanessa - thanks for your kind remark and for your suggestion. I am listening ;-D

Thanks, Kim, for the encouragement and the praise. I feel humbled and proud at once. (Imagine that ;-D)

Sincerely,
D7ana

Wow, time is such a weird thing! I would have sworn you'd had your blog up for much longer than that! And I hope if you do decide to do a blog "refresh" that you'll be happy with the results (of course you can always undo them, right?) :)

Thanks for sharing the last couple of years!

Hi Erica! Thanks for the good wishes. Yes, if I save a version of the original or the last style of the blog, it can be restored from the saved version. (I think, but I wouldn't want to tray ;-D) So I intend to be careful about any changes I make ;-D

Oh, and you're probably recognizing "D7ana" - I've been signing off like that since 1997 or 1998. Or because I had mega entries 2009-2010?

Hehe, I'm not sure which, but it's always a pleasure to read your blog & get your take on things. I'm a bad reader (I lurk far more than I comment) but I'm trying to be more commenty! ;)

And you know, re: the refresh---change is good! :)

Hi Erica! Lurking is fine. Nice to know that you visit - that's important. Comments are extra like the cherry atop an ice cream soda.

Whoa, who keyed that last sentence? I LOVE comments. I bask in them. I LOVE making them. Comments = response and attention and relevance.

I mean to do a post on Comments soon. Just have to finish my draft ;-D

Hi Ann and thanks for stopping by. Just curious, how did you decide to visit me today? I'd like to do more of whatever drew in a new visitor, see ;-D

I stopped by your blog, too. The brownie recipe sounds scrumptious. I enjoy cozy mysteries by M.C. Beaton, Marian Babson, etc. Thanks for giving me a new cozy author.

Hey Dana Happy Anniversary. I like the idea of yours. That was my original idea for my blog but other things keep coming up. I think I will revamp myself back to my original idea for my upcoming 1st year :O)

This may help me get back on track. You've inspired me as well :O)
