Fashionistas Seen at Walmart

For Philly locals seeking these 3 new Fashionistas, I saw them at Walmart. They were hidden behind many blond Barbie Fashionistas. If you prefer to buy your dolls online, Walmart.com also has them at "Rollback" prices - $7.94 each, which means you save $2.03 on each doll. While that might not seem a big reduction, it does add up. Almost like buy 2, get one free. Almost ;-)

Blue-eyed, light complected Asha-faced doll

Walmart link for light complected Asha-faced doll. The Asha face sculpt was one of the original Black face sculpts for the Shani line. Mattel issuing the doll in a lighter complexion does not make the doll "White." I consider her a bi-racial Asha. Her blue eyes and lighter complexion give her enough of a difference to warrant adding her to my collection. I like her necklace and the sensible flat shoes, too.

Fair-complected, Lea-faced doll

Walmart link for fair complected Lea-faced doll. I don't have a match for this face, hair arrangement, and complexion so I might get this doll. How can I resist that Meow cat tee shirt? So she's second on my list.

Brown complected, Goddess-faced doll

Walmart link for brown complected Goddess-faced doll. She's a lovely doll, but I have several dolls about this complexion so I am not likely to get this one. I don't care for the outfit either. Shrug.

Ms. Leo reported seeing these dolls at a Family Dollar store. I am submitting this post to mention that these dolls are appearing at Walmart and to share the sale price. So anyone who'd like that pale Lea-faced doll, maybe the price reduction will tip that doll into your shopping cart. Maybe?

I'm trying to cut back on new dolls, but if they keep reducing the prices on these dolls I'm going to end up caving and buying one (or more)...

Hi jSarie! I, too, have to be careful about buying new dolls. Sigh. Have ones I need to sell and soon. So I am not buying duplicates.

Glad you'll be able to get them on sale.

They are so cute. You can also get them at the rollback price on Walmart.com. The only thing that I don't care for is the stance which a couple are frozen into. Aka, the Asian sweetie is sort of sideways with her leg going to the side. She looks a bit awkward sitting down. I think I'll have to rebody them. Other than that, they are fierce.

Here, in Walmart store, these dolls cost 10$.

Our Walmarts are selling them in the stores for $7.94. Initially they were more, but maybe they got wind that Target was selling them for $7.99. I just saw a post yesterday with pictures of the new articulated yoga dolls that are coming out in 2016. The Asian Lea is one of the four being offered. Not sure what the price will be, but I'm going to wait.

Hi Brenova, Shasarignis, and Vanessa!

@Brenova - I will definitely rebody mine. I don't care for those poses ;-)

@Shasarignis - Hmm ... Shame about that price difference.

@Vanessa - Oh I have to see those 2016 dolls. And they are articulated, too? Neat!

Sigh. I still would like that cat tee though.

Ha ha about Walmart finding out about Target's cheaper price.

I like the top on the Goddess-faced doll, but then again I had a couple of tops very like that in the 80's, only with sleeves.

I like the wardrobe of these girls, and they all have nice features. I'm looking forward for the new articulated 2016 body!

I know what you mean about the bi-racial or fair skinned doll. That's what I explained to someone about Marissa, one of the S.I.S. dolls. Though she's light, she's not white. I like the diversity of black dolls. But...my days of $8 Barbies are over.

I saw a post on Facebook that had the new Fashionista Darren with the doll you're calling biracial. they looked like they were the same complexion!

Was really happy this year to note Mattel made some of these fashions sans overlocked hems. Big improvement from the previous year. I've bought some of them just for the fashions. I'm still looking for the red/blue dress (the one you don’t like) but it’s not at my Walmart so will take some of the retailer suggestions made here to continue looking.

Hmmm... if Goddess-face shows up at Family Dollar, I'm going to be tempted at BOGO day, though darker dolls are so difficult to rebody for articulation. I don't have a Goddess mold.

I was so fascinated with fakies at FDO that I didn't even look at the namebrand dolls.

Photos of the articulated 2016 dolls here: http://papusilemele.com/en/2015/10/11/2016-articulated-barbie-neko-teresa-and-asha-dolls/ I'm quite excited about this - finally some proper articulation, and in 3 or 4 different skin tones as well!

I just love the Lea doll! She was too cute for me to resist. And the old Tris body is a pretty good match for her. Saw the other Fashionistas at Walmart as well. :-)

Hi Cindi Mortensen! Congrats on your new dolls. I like that Lea, too. And I LOVE her top with the cat. So I might get her although as Vanessa points out, there is another doll with that look coming out next year and that one is pose-able. Sigh.

Well... the outfits are "interesting," but I do like their faces.

Hi Muff! I'm not crazy about the fashions except for the cat top. I do like the faces though ;-)
