New at Walmart: Skipper with Blue Streak and AA Computer Engineer Barbie

I think I like this Skipper better than the one with the pink streak. I don't think the face mold has changed; I just like this one better for some reason. Blue streak? Possibly.

Note the AA Computer Engineer Barbie. Nice, hmm? More of the Desiree/Adria face mold though. And I would have preferred tortoise-shell eyeglasses. Eh but then I am picky.

Will have to go to Walmart and see what is new. Usually nothing.
If you can't find what you are looking for in the Ty Lil Ones, let me know and I can pick up any I can find for you. Yesterday I stopped at Shop Rite and they had Mariah and Sydney. And in Five Below they had the Snoopy.

This reminds me, 10 years ago, I considered having some blue streaks on my hair. LOL.

Love to see the AA Engineer my major pet peeve with the Big M is how hard is it to add the AA graphics to the box? Seriously they just don't care at all. The different colored glasses would've been awesome but they just dress her in the exact outfit as the other..oh well

Thanks for the offer, Frannie! If I can't find the Snoopy one here, I will take you up on that offer ;-)

Good luck with your Walmart search. Fingers crossed for you. Hope you find something new.

Cool Niel! I never thought of adding blue streaks to my hair. I had considered green streaks to compliment some leaf green nail polish, but never did that either. Sigh. (Sniff. I think I misspent my youth as a fuddy duddy ;-P)

Shhhh, Dollz4Moi. The Big M has most graciously provided an AA doll WITH an acceptable-as-AA face. Whoo hooo. Now to ask for matching graphics - lol - that would be too much.

Have you ever seen the Madison and Sutton My Ride black car set? Madison has the pinkish Barbie feet. LOL! If the vehicle weren't so cool anyway, I would have bought the set for that oversight. I'll see if I can photograph that. It's funny and sad at the same time. Or maybe just sad ....

Good to see that your Walmart has gotten the AA Computer Engineer. She hasn't shown up yet in my immediate area. I bought the Caucasian one because I was excited about the bluetooth, the glasses, and the articulated body. But after seeing that the bluetooth is lodged deep inside the ear, and that the body only has articulated arms, I was a little disappointed. I may be able to make the bluetooth work for one of my other dolls with a little work.

Dollz4moi - I understand why Mattel doesn't put AA on the box. Not everyone has accepted that term. Could start a firestorm if some group started complaining and the media got wind of it. That usually equates to more sales though.

Regarding the blue streak:
I'm showing my age here, but does anyone else remember the expression "talking a blue streak"? It means the person never shuts up. I just have to wonder if that particular Skipper talks a lot!

Thanks for the information about the bluetooth in her ear, Vanessa.

Oh and yes, I agree about the "problem" Mattel might encounter using African American OR Black. Might be the origin of the "ethnic" category. Plus "ethnic" can include Latino/Hispanic, etc. Wink, wink.

Hi, Skippercollector! I remember that expression ... "talk a blue streak." Maybe that Skipper's closed mouth is unusual for her, lol.
