Earthquake in Philadelphia - Folks, We're Okay!

We had an earthquake today. Philly. Yes, as in Philadelphia, PA.

Sigh. I missed feeling it - noticing it anyway because I stepped out of the room. Darn. I had to miss it. Maybe next time?

I remember the one we had in 2001, which was known as the "Rattle in Seattle," which was something like a 6.7 or thereabouts. For some reason, I could NOT stop singing "Shake Rattle and Roll," for the rest of the day.

Wow! I didn't know Philly had earthquakes. I'm in California so it's obviously the norm here but...wow. I'm glad everyone is ok.

Good to know you are okay!

Know what, I sometimes have this silly regret as you had when you missed experiencing an earthquake. I slept through the recent earthquake. I'm happy that I wasn't hurt but when exchanging quake stories (a good bonding activity for me) with friends afterwards left me just listening. :)

Thanks, Miladyblue, Tracy India, and Niel, for sharing your earthquake stories.

"Shake Rattle and Roll" seems like a perfect song to go with an earthquake, Miladyblue. Good backdrop song. I was mentally singing something to my cat - lol - as if that would sooth him when I was away.

Tracy India, Philly las had an earthquake(s) before, but it's been like 100 years or something like that. Ours yesterday was 5.8. And I missed it. Pout.

Niel, that was my sentiment, too. Can't comment when everyone else has a story or stories. But I'd rather that slight disappointment than to have been hurt. Or to have had others hurt. Pout receding ;-D

We felt the tremors here in NYC. I was at work. The quake hit in VA at 5.9 and was felt from NC to MA. Glad it wasn't stronger here

Glad to read you're okay, Dollz4Moi! I missed feeling it by being one room OUT of range.
