Coming Soon ... Scarily Ever After Monster High Dolls

Barbie as Princess is no news. But guess who else is taking up the fairy tale theme? Yes, as you may have guessed by this post title, some of the Monster High dolls by Mattel are undergoing the fairy tale treatment. The Target Exclusive trio includes Clawdeen as Little Dead Riding Wolf, Draculaura as Snow Bite, and Frankie Stein as Threadarella. How soon? Oh, right now - July or August 2012. So you might want to check your local Targets for them.

And what about a playset for your monsters? Consider the Monster High High School Playset ... if/when that goes on sale, I might consider it for my "regular" fashion dolls. You will find photos on Flickr of it.

Finally, what about an unauthorized leak? Check this Monster High Wiki. No, I won't spoil the surprise for those who like to wait for the official announcement. Those are my monstrous bits for today.

Snow Bite. I love all those names.

Hi Vanessa! Yes, the names are cute. The dolls are, too ;-D

I keep telling myself I do NOT want to start a new series. Shrug. Getting harder to hear that, lol.

That schoolhouse is to "die for"! Cackle, cackle! Yeah, I would like that!

I am not even going to tell you how drawn I am to those new La Dee Da SpinMaster dolls. I don't want to buy any, but man they sure are cuter in person than I expected.

Ms. Leo, you're humor is "killing me" - lol.

Vanessa, hear my sigh. I don't want to think about the cute stuff I do not buy. Oh so hard to not get the ones I do "officially" collect ;-D

Hello from Spain: The three new Monsters as fairy tale characters are very original. Anyway is a contrast because they are monsters and princesses once ... Keep in touch.

Hi Marta and thanks for your comment. Yes, placing "monsters" in fairy tales roles makes an interesting juxtaposition. I am curious how the "monsters" will be transformed in fairy tales. Usually, if monsters appear in fairy tales - the monsters are horrible and bad.

These do look cute but I suspect they will only be available at
Target in America. Oh,well, I guess it only means I'll spend my money on a different doll.

Hi Carrickters and thanks for stopping by. Hmmm ... maybe yes, maybe no. Given that some cool dolls are available in GB and Australia that are not available here in the USA, maybe you could do a swap with another collector. The American collector could get the 3 MH fairy tales dolls and you could get 3 of the British rock dolls. Swap the dolls, and everyone gets something different. Yay!

Or you could spend your money on a different doll. Fortunately, there seems to be a LOT of neat dolls that we'd love to have.

Quite the clever concept. I love this idea. Sometimes Mattel really pleases me and other times they make me shake my head.

It is a clever concept - Mattel will go really creative at times. Guess that's what keeps us fans of some of their stuff. Some? Okay, a nice enough chunk to keep their doll lines going ;-D
