Hi,

Does anyone have the instructions for constructing the penthouse? I am having a difficult time building it.

Thanks!

Colin

Hi, Colin! No, I never had the penthouse so I've never had the instructions either. Perhaps these links may help you:

The first link shows the first page of the instruction booklet.

The next link shows views of the apartment,

additional photos of the apartment as well as some interesting comment are here,

and the last is information about the construction that might help, if a kind collector does NOT offer you a copy of the instructions. Good luck!

Hi, Ann! Thanks for visiting! Are you a Tuesday Taylor fan?

Wow, look how cheap everything used to be! Step one, get money. Step two, build a time machine...

You mentioned that penthouse to me once, and I've been obsessed with it ever since. I think it's the coolest house ever! Sooo swanky! Why can't they make stuff like that anymore? No pink anywhere, lol! Thanks for the groovy peek into the past. And now I'm off to ebay to look for stuff I can't afford. :P

Hi SG!

Oh, I was thinking of using the TT Penthouse apartment as a model - it was the GRAIL item during my early collecting years, BUT I would make certain adjustments ;-D

Like no orange, etc. Oh, I have got a great post idea. Thanks, Carmen! You are ever an inspiration!

Cool post! I never knew about the penthouse which I think has held up quite well all things considered. I had Barbie playsets and furniture which are kind of horrid when I see them these days...

Yes, Kim, I agree that the TT Penthouse held up better than the Barbie playsets of that time.

Marx Sindy furniture has also held up better. I mean, you can see her style of furniture in real life today. Barbie's stuff looked like "doll stuff." But then, the Barbies never fully looked "lifelike," then either. (Tuesday Taylor and her crew having more realistic faces and builds. Except poor pin-head Eric.)
