Brotherly love in playscale: finding diversity in fashion dolls and action figures from the 1960s to now: Barbie, Fashion Royalty, Momoko, Susie, GI Joe, Power Team, Mixis.
Thanks for sharing. They really captured the likeness of all the characters, but there's something a little strange about them. Can't put my finger on it. I love the Clinton figure the best, I think.
Yes, they are good likenesses.I think the Michelle Obama doll has an odd something about her. Great likeness but ....
The That's My Face process uses your front and profile photos and creates a 3D image that they somehow transfer onto the head. They do many sizes from small to life-sized. The image is on, but it is a "photo" instead of painted features. The Bush Sr.and Jr. and Carter figures are from Toy Presidents, Inc. The Reagan and Clinton figures are from Talking Presidents. Toy Presidents also created their own versions of Clinton and Reagan as well, but I opted for the Talking Presidents versions.
Thanks for explaining how That's My Face processes doll faces. I don't know if I would like a photo instead of a sculpted and painted head ... thanks for letting me know. The Toy Presidents dolls have a cartoony look; the Talking Presidents have biggish heads, but they look more serious. I would opt for them over the Toy Presidents as well ;-D
