Justifying a Monster High Want List

I just like the face on this one. And the style soooo ... here is my justification for why I can add this doll and some of the other Monster High dolls.

Drum roll.

The Monster High dolls will be citizens from a future time. "New Humans" who have evolved in the far away future. Part human, part animal/insect hybrids.

Yes, that is my rationale for including them. Sigh.

P.S. I saw this Scaris Catrine DeMew at a local Walmart store.

I love the way you're justifying your purchase! LOL I was never able to get into the Monster High dolls. They seem to be very popular with folks, but I just don't care for them. :-)

Great explanation. :D I haven't even tried to justify mine, but then again all my dolls have different proportions and nobody really looks good standing next to anyone else, so...

I haven't seen Scaris here yet but she looks interesting. And once you buy one - you seem to end up buying more than one (at least that's what happened to me) so your rationale sounds good.

I see nothing strange about your rational but you might have been honest and just admitted you caved. *wink* No one would have blamed you. She’s just too cute! *grin*

I haven't seen this one yet! I love all her accessories.

I love Monster High and Catrine is currently my favorite. Don't bother with justification, just enjoy them! ♥

Love the blog!

Hi Cindi, Anderson's All Purpose, Carrickters, Robin, Muff, and Alan! Thanks for your comments.

Alas, I have not bought Catrine or any other MH doll yet. I really wanted to buy Catrine and that particular screening of Catrine, but my wallet said, no. Sigh.

I *had* to justify putting her on a to buy list because I had criticized their too thin bodies and their oversized heads. By finding a reason to okay future purchases, I hurdled a self-imposed, Dana-should-not barrier. There are so many "regular bodied" dolls I want.

Okay, I confess ... I overthink collecting a lot, lol.

BTW, Alan has a cute repainted Catrine on his blog.

I see why D7ana, she is cute! I think she is the Walmart exclusive. Congrats on getting her!

Thank you so much for the mention but that repaint isn't done by me. That post is a reblog of an AMAZING work by Retrograde who does fantastic doll repaints. Everything else is mine tho.

I can understand your having to rationalize your purchases now. Now that I think about it I do the same with dolls and sets (Oh I 'need' this set for those shoes, I 'have to have' this one for her cute outfit)

Also, I will be moving to Philly next month and was wondering if there were any dollhouse furniture and supply stores in the area that you would suggest?

I like your storyline. Hey, we all do the justification thing from time to time. I'm behind you 100%.

Hi Vicki, Alan, and Vanessa!

Thanks for commenting.

@Vicki - alas, I did not get Catrine that day. I photographed her, and I plan to get her when I can. Walmart exclusive ... okay, need to remember that ;-D

Thanks for the correction, Alan! OMG - you are moving to Philly! Alas, there are no playscale dollhouse furniture sites that I can recommend now. Once upon a time, Small Blue Planet existed in Aston, PA, but alas they have gone some time ago. Supply stores though ... if you mean fabric shops or art stores, yes, there are some of both.

Send me an e-mail message - d7ana @ yahoo.com - if you expect to have free time for a doll chat.

@Vanessa - thanks. Justification can be fun sometimes ;-D

LMAO! I love your justification! I do the same thing because my collection is all "normal" humans. So I only by Cleo dolls from MH lol

Who me? LOL ... yes, me!
