Unpainted Playscale Heads of Your Favorites ....

No, I am not in league to make everyone broke before - pause - TOY FAIR - but I came across this site with gorgeous, lifelike playscale sculpts of easily recognized movie stars - and Muff, they even have an excellent Bruce Lee head sculpt - for $14.00 each head!?! Another Morgan Freeman head for Vanessa and several Samuel L. Jackson heads including his bizarre hairstyle in Unbreakable ...

So, has anyone bought from or heard about this company before? Please do share your findings. Thanking you in advance - as always - D7ana.

Hello from Spain: I do not know this company but the creations are very good and not very expensive. Keep in touch

I've seen his store on ebay and I did order a Mel Gibson head from him but besides being unpainted, you have to drill the hole into the head yourself. Have you seen the ones done by Ada Chan? I have ordered from her and you can get it painted or unpainted. http://www.wantedactionfigure.com/

Hmmm. I dunno that I would want one of those. I'm okay with drilling my own hole, but the sculpts seem kinda... off. Like they were made from one of those 3D printers and not actually sculpted and then mass molded.

Hi Marta, Patti, Muff, and Fashionista Boy!

@Marta, yes, they do look good ... as far as I can tell anyway.

@Patti, thanks for the tip about needing to drill the hole. No, I haven't seen ones done by Ada Chan. I will look at her site. Thanks for the link ;-D

@Muff, hmmm ... that's an interesting way to create a mold that seems to be tailored. That could be why the price is reasonable ... thanks for sharing ;-D

@Fashionista Boy - thanks for stopping by. Nice to see your icon here ;-D

$14 for an unpainted head? I only paid $25 for my Morgan Freeman painted head. Good looking out, but I'll pass. A lot of times I'm only paying about $25 - $30 for full action figures. It's not easy to paint those to look realistic.

Hi Vanessa! I was thinking $14 an unpainted head was cheaper than the $300 of the Hot Toys SLJ, lol. Shrug.

He’s an eBay seller and has been sculpting for a while (I saw his entry in a customizing contest a few years back). These heads are made of resin and the reason they are so inexpensive is because not only do you have to paint them yourself, but you have to drill the neck hole. If you are handy with a dremel it’s quite easy to do and actually can give you a custom fit.

Hi Ron and Robin!

Thanks for your comments. I am lazy about drilling neck holes so I probably would not use these heads ... now that I consider that factor. But then again, I might get that adventurous ;-D

Someday ....

Yeah, but can he sculpt any women?

Hi MW! I didn't see any women among the figures I looked at. Maybe he can't ...? Or he hasn't listed them? Shrug.

I've gotten heads from him before on eBay. Sculpts are OK, and since I can paint and drilling is not hard to do, it's a bargain. I also have bought heads from Ada Chan at Wanted Action Figure.com from her eBay store, which she often offers painted and unpainted. I guess it's a matter of your time, patience and comfort in pait jobs. As mentioned previously, I have also done one head (Michelle Obama) from thatsmyface.com. Pricey, but excellent likeness.

He has only one female sculpt...Marilyn Monroe...(it's not that great)
