Happy St. Patrick’s Day

I missed seeing the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but I want to acknowledge the holiday here. Irish Barbies are everywhere online so I decided to photograph any dolls and/or action figures wearing green. I found a Black Barbie, a copper-tressed Midge, a YNU Group Inc. Mixis Houda, an M & C Toy Centre Power Team Elite Para jumper, and a Spinmaster Bollywood Legends Kajol already dressed in green. Here they are along with my wish that all celebrating St. Patrick’s Day are having  or have had a jolly one.

Oh and I must not forget this video that explains how the wearing of green became associated with this holiday.

May the road rise to meet you.

It was St. Patrick's Day?! I didn't know that, lol. I didn't notice a single person in green or if I did I didn't think about it. I guess I really didn't go out to social areas today so I wouldn't have noticed anyway. So, uh... Happy St. Patrick's!

Oh i loved seeing that birthstone beauty. She is lovely. Your collection is so wide and varied.
What was up with St. Patty's day this year? I've never really paid attention to it. This year I was bombarded with it. Everywhere. Not a problem it was fun; but it was green overload! Dolls in green and shamrocks! I've never really paid attention to this holiday & it looked like everywhere people dressed in green, drinking green beer on facebook, whew. There were some people acting like it was Christmas with shamrocks. lol. I was surprised at how many people went all out and celebrated and decorated for it.

The Birthstone Steffie is so sweet. I missed St. Patrick's day this year.
I must remember to prepare something green for the boys and girls for next year!

Hi Muff, Diego Mauricio, Lisa Nealt, and Billa's Dolls and Fashions!

@Muff - Aren't you glad to have missed the more energetic revelers? Whew! I think you lucked out ;-)

@Diego Mauricio - Kajol sends kisses. She wants you to know that she's from the U.K. - just in case you sought her ;-)

You pose your Barbies so lifelike, I HAVE to comment ;-)

@Lisa Nealt - amazing how different your experience and Muff's experience. Mine was in between - Philly has the 2nd largest Irish American Parade in the U.S. so I could not miss it. Local tv and radio mentioned it often. But I wasn't out long enough or at the more social spots to "feel" it. Shrug. Maybe next year?

Glad you liked seeing the birthstone beauty. I have 3 of them; this one and 2 others, I'm selling.

@Billa's Dolls and Fashions - I liked the Steffie-faced Birthstone Beauty Barbies so much, I had FIVE of them. I sold one, soon I'll be selling 3 more. I have many Steffie-faced dolls ;-)

You can do a late St. Patrick's Day post. Or plan something fab for next year. Your boys and girls take exciting trips.

I'm 1/4 Irish, and St. Patrick's is a big thing around here, even if it is only an excuse to drink green beer! :)

Heh, I'd never have guessed that the Birthstone one wasn't actually designed to be St Patrick's day themed. After all, she's even wearing the right shade of green!

Hi Natalia Tadra, Barb the Evil Genius, and jSarie! Thanks for your comments.

@Natalia Tadra - oh the thrill of Spring celebrations! Do you have fun things to do and good things to eat?

@Barb the Evil Genius - musing on the thought of green beer ... is the beer tastier for being green? Hope you enjoyed the day to the fullest ;-)

@jSarie - ah so that is the right shade of green for the Day? Maybe I'll sell her naked and keep the dress for the holiday ... hmmm ... lol
