Reminder: DAFs Need Cooling, Too

Suffering succotash, as a certain nasty, spraying cat used to exclaim. Stifling, sticky summer is HERE. Hot, hot, hot. Sweat, sweat, sweat.

Takara Schoolgirl Art Tamaki and Takara Schoolgirl Reggae Jenny try to cool off with a fan. Don't forget to keep your dolls and action figures from direct sunlight and comfortably arranged to avoid the dire Mego melt. That wretched condition can occur in dolls and action figures from other companies, too. Take care!

Thanks for the reminder.

The weather in most places is hot, hot, hot for dolls and action figures, too.

The mini blinds are always closed in my doll room with lights off when I'm not in there working or otherwise computing. In addition to central A/C, I use an oscillating fan in the doll room when the temperatures soar outside and/or when the room feels warm to me.

Ceiling fans and thermal backed drapes in other rooms where my inanimates are help stabilize the temperature and keep them "comfortable."

Hope you and yours stay cool.

Uh-hem ... DBG, do you see a line of action figures and dolls outside your door? No? Guess they haven't reached Texas, yet. Sometime after mention of the A/C, oscillating fan, and thermal backed drapes, some of my folks started tip-toeing out. I'd join them if I weren't so tired ;-D

But seriously your inanimates have a great cooling system there.

I've been meaning to ask you this for the longest time. What does DAF mean?

I'm in Florida and grew up without A/C. To this day I have never acclimated to it. I don't turn it on in my place or car. I like to stay a constant 83 degrees but up to 93 is okay with me if there is wind or a fan blowing. If it's 100+ then I do have to have a fan right near me. A/C makes my eyes hurt.

I do keep my dolls from direct sunlight and dress them appropriately as the season changes for their comfort.

Hi D7ana,

I have a birthday present for you but I can't find your email and I have forgotten your mailing address. Please send your address to limbedolls@gmail.com so I can mail out your gift.

Hope your day was filled with fun!

Hi Muff and Limbe Dolls!

DAF is my abbreviation for "dolls [and] action figures." If an appropriate abbreviation does not exist, make one up, lol. Good job, changing their outfits to summer-appropriate fashions. I'm trying to do that here for my folks.

Limbe Dolls, I've sent my current mailing address. My birthday was nice - had an Italian hoagie and a good bit of cheesecake. Pepsi chaser ... yum. Sigh.

Hello from Spain: I love this photo of your two dolls with the fan. They are very relaxed in that chair. Keep in touch

OMG! The dollies look miserable. lol You were such a good doll guardian to provide them with a little fan. Hope you are all surviving and have had some kind of break in the heat by now.

Hi Marta and Robin! Tamaki and Jenny told me that they were wilting. Hence the old fashioned fan. Neither is suffering from the dread Mego Melt though.
