Hi Skippercollector! Remember I mentioned I *had* something for you? Well, here it is ...
I was not sure if you saw this Skipper set. The brunette Skipper is being reissued again ... this time with a chestnut horse. (Aw ... their hair matches.) On the plus side, she doesn't seem to wear colored plastic/molded on pants like the Barbie with the horse in this series. I can't tell whether her knees are click bend or articulated though. (If you've seen this set out of the box, please let us know which knee style she has.)
On the down side, the double saddle is molded to the horse so it cannot be removed. Sigh. That information about the saddle is mentioned in one of the Amazon customer reviews.
Horse and Skipper fans, this might be your set.

Hi D7ana,
I have this set. Skipper's knees are articulated, not click bend. Her legs also spread wide so she can ride the horse. I was very disappointed that the saddle is molded on, but the bridle is removable. All in all, a cute set. :-)
This is a cute set. I would love for Mattel to release some more AA Skippers and Stacys.
Hi Cindi and Roxanne!
@Cindi - thanks for letting us know that this Skipper has articulated knees - yay! She can actually ride the horse, too. Double yay.
@Roxanne - I would be happy to see some AA Skippers and Stacys, too.
I'm glad they've moved Skipper to a younger age. At least, she looks that way. Thank you for the pictures!
Very cute. Nice to see another articulated Skipper. I wouldn't mind the molded saddle, but it might require a nice leather like repaint.
Thanks for the info this is a cute set I will have to be on the look out.
Thanks for sharing, i actually liked the colors...it would be a nice additional for Skipper's lovers.
Hi Barb the Evil Genius, Vanessa, AG Lanc, and Barbiecafe! You are welcome to the photos and I thank you for your comments.
I like that this Skipper is articulated. That she seems younger, I can take, too. I think this set is cute, but I am still torn between the Hulu Dancing Skipper and the Walmart Disney Skipper. Hmmm ....
I've not yet seen this set. Thank you for showing it to me. I have Skipper's horse from the 1980s, Honey, but the Western and Horse Lovin' Skippers cannot ride her! I'm glad someone at Mattel had the sense to create a doll that could actually ride a horse!
Hi Skippercollector! Yay, glad to share something you had not seen. Do you think that this new Skipper body could be used with the older Skippers' heads? Possibly you could re-body them so that they could ride Honey horse ;-)
(Honey horse made me smile there ... I imagined a male voice saying "Honey ... horse" to his girlfriend. Not a good juxtaposition, lol.
And yes, it is cool and appropriate that a doll with a horse can actually ride that horse. Yay, Mattel for getting that right.
If I could take the arms from the Hawaii Skipper and put them on the Skipper from this set, I'd have a fully articulated Skipper! Double yay! I forgot to mention that the clothes on this Skipper are removable. Her legs aren't painted like the pink Barbie legs. Yuck! :-)
Yay, Cindi Mortensen! Sounds like a great plan for the ideal poseable Skipper! Thanks for confirming that the Horse Skipper 2013 wears cloth clothing and not painted or sculpted on fashions. (Anything worse than painted fashions? YES! Try that molded on AND painted fashions. Grrr ... not a good sound.)
