Deboxed Cheetah Girls in Webshots Folder

Finally deboxed the PlayAlong Cheetah Girls. I have a few photos of them in a new Webshots folder.

I like their faces, but their hair is a little sparse in the back. They have different types of boots - but each has at least one pair of T-strap high heels that fit them well. The clothes are less than average quality: mostly velcro closures AND cheap, polyester fabric. Oh and never have I seen so much leopard wear in ONE doll collection.

Deboxing and Photographing I-Girls

I spent part of today deboxing and photographing my four I-Girls. Still have more to un-do for Sahara and the camp set. Off the cuff comment, these dolls are pretty but not strong on ethnic looks. Also, the Get Real Girls - probably the closest to the I-Girls in figure and outlook - have sturdier bodies. I'll write more about them and upload photos tomorrow.

Confronting the First Shelf - Deboxing Shelf Unit A

Continuing the deboxing of Shelf Unit A ...

1. Decide whether to keep

2. Photograph dolls and figures

3. Set aside any dolls or figures to be sold or donated

4. Decide if any are to remain boxed

5. Open the boxes on the others

6. Breakdown empty boxes

7. Find storage homes for the deboxed figures

Photographing the Deboxing Project

I'm thinking that I might take photos of the filled shelves as I "break down" the DAFs and other items. Might create a WebShots folder for that purpose. "Before" and "after" photos.

Considering that ....

Discarding Boxes or the Unromantic Side of Collecting NRFB

Most of today, I spent discarding boxes after cutting away doll photos on some or removing accessories to be kept or to be donated/sold. Man somebody will end up with a heap of plastic doll brushes. LOL. Whew. I rather regret NOT deboxing the figures sooner. But it is good to be doing this now and separating the things I will not keep into donate or sell piles. If I can increase DAF buying funds, that would be great.

It's also been fun to see what I have. I find nice surprises, Oh, I did get that one? That sort of thing. Also experiencing a lot of, Oh, no this one looks like that one except the outfit differs. (You guess correctly if you think Fashion Fever Barbie ;-P)

Finally, this deboxing exercise is good because it allows me more room. More room to show the DAFs I have and more room for new ones to come in.

Heh heh ... the ulterior motive.
